A new Page Six report found that Jaime King, the actress of Black Summer, had obtained a “partial” temporary restraining order against her man, Kyle Newman. The 41-year-old man filed formal divorce documents in Los Angeles court on Monday.
Documents obtained by Page Six state that the actress filed for divorce about 13 years after her first marriage to the 44-year-old man. She requested an emergency motion regarding custody and access rights for the children, but was refused.
The judge working on the case has granted a restraining order, and Newman must stay at least 100 yards from the actress for the foreseeable future. Reportedly, they have another hearing scheduled for June this year. Jaime King Files A Restraining Order Against Husband Kyle Newman
As noted above, Newman and King were married thirteen years ago in November 2007. They had two sons together, including Leo, 4, and James, 6.
This comes at a particularly difficult time due to the coronavirus pandemic, which finally seems to be subsiding as the American states begin their reopening processes. According to reports, internal disputes have increased since the start of the quarantine.
While one can only hypothesize a link between domestic violence and quarantine measures, it is clear that other celebrities have also had difficulties in their relationships, including Mary-Kate Olsen and her husband, Olivier Sarkozy.
