It’s official. Prince Harry finally said goodbye to his life in the United Kingdom as a senior member of the British royal family and arrived in Canada to be with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son, Archie Harrison.
Prince Harry Says Goodbye To Royal Life, Joins Meghan Markle & Archie Harrison In Canada The Duke of Sussex was all smiles in the video footage captured by Sky News as he alighted from a jet on Vancouver Island and got into a waiting car around 12:47 a.m. EST on Tuesday morning .
According to The Sun, Prince Harry actually skipped a reception for African leaders at Buckingham Palace on Monday because he couldn’t wait to join his wife and son. Harry took a British Airways flight to Vancouver before connecting with a small plane to Vancouver Island. Instead of looking like kings when he got off the plane, Harry was dressed in a black puffer jacket and jeans with a cap on his head and carrying an army bag.
The 35-year-old was joined by two Royal Protection officers who are still paid by British taxpayers. And, he was joined by three other agents in Vancouver before they all jump on a West Jet turboprop.
A caravan of three cars took Prince Harry from the Vancouver Island airport to a mansion so that he could join his wife and son. Before arriving, Markle was seen walking her two dogs in a park on Vancouver Island with Archie in a baby carrier. The Duchess of Sussex looked happy and carefree during her walk.
Harry and Meghan were separated for 11 days after making their shocking announcement on the Megxit earlier this month. Markle immediately returned to Canada to be with Archie after she and Harry revealed that they were resigning as senior members of the royal family.
Harry stayed in London to work with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince William. In the wake of the explosive news, Harry and Meghan have given up their RHS titles and public money, and will instead be supported by Prince Charles for a year as the couple move on to private life in Vancouver.
While Meghan Markle would remain in Canada for the next few months, Prince Harry is expected to return for a few royal engagements in the weeks to come before fully moving on to his new life in Canada in the spring.
